Zdenek Fred Fous

Zdenek Fred is a serial entrepreneur with 20 years of experience, having co-founded six companies across multiple sectors, including two exits.

His conviction that entrepreneurship is the most effective lever for systemic change led him to launch PurposeTech—an early-stage fund backing high-potential, mission-driven founders. He is on a lookout for transformative opportunities in Health, Climate, and Future of Work, where societal impact is not a secondary benefit but a fundamental value driver. 

“I started my first company—a small educational agency—with a friend during our freshman year in 2005. Since then, I’ve co-founded six companies across various industries. Some became successes I’m proud of; others were costly but invaluable learnings. All of them, however, were a lot of fun. For me, entrepreneurship isn’t just a career path—it’s a mindset, a way of life, and one of the most powerful tools we have for creating meaningful change. 

On a personal note, I love to talk about education and personal development, entrepreneurship, adventurous travel (80 countries visited, mainly as a backpacker), geopolitics and future trends and technologies.”
