Prof. dr. Ieva Plikusienė is a chief researcher at the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology and a professor at Vilnius University’s Faculty of Chemistry and Geosciences (Lithuania). Her research focuses on the development of biosensors with specific focus on immunosensors and characterization of thin film properties using surface sensitive methods in-situ and ex-situ. In 2021, she received the L’ORÉAL-UNESCO For Women in Science Young Talent award for Lithuania and later earned the prestigious L’ORÉAL-UNESCO International Rising Talent award in 2022. From 2025 she was selected as Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the International Basic Science Programme (IBSP) UNESCO.
