Prof. David Zeltser, MD, is the Deputy Director General for R&D and Innovation at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center – Ichilov, where he leads groundbreaking research initiatives, fosters technological advancements, and drives innovation in clinical care. An esteemed internal medicine specialist, he has played a pivotal role in transforming patient care through scientific research, advanced medical technologies, local and global multidisciplinary collaboration. Prof. Zeltser has held several key leadership roles at Ichilov, including Director of Internal Medicine Department D and Executive Chief Director of Emergency Medicine, where he spearheaded major improvements in acute and chronic care management. Prof. Zeltser further established the Clinical Trial Network Services (CTNS) 20 years ago to improve conduction of clinical trials at Ichilov Hospital.

In the last few years, he is also running the Phase I Clinical Research Center (CRC). His expertise spans clinical research, digital health solutions, and advanced patient care models, positioning Ichilov at the forefront of medical innovation in Israel and globally. A faculty member at Tel Aviv University’s Sackler School of Medicine, Prof. Zeltser is dedicated to medical education, mentoring future generations of physicians and researchers. He holds an MD from the Sackler School of Medicine and a master’s in health administration (MHA) from the Recanati School of Management at Tel Aviv University. With a rich academic and research portfolio, Prof. Zeltser has authored and co-authored over 90 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, focusing on cardiology, thrombosis, internal medicine, and clinical decision-making. His contributions have been widely recognized in the medical community, and his research has been presented at leading global conferences.

Through his leadership in research, innovation, and digital transformation, Prof. Zeltser continues to shape the future of healthcare, integrating AI-driven solutions, biotechnology, and advanced diagnostics to enhance patient outcomes and global healthcare delivery.
