Karin Conde-Knape

Senior Vice President Early Development at Novo Nordisk | Denmark

Karin Conde-Knape is the Senior Vice President for Global Drug Discovery at Novo Nordisk. In this role, she is responsible for driving the early pipeline and innovation within the areas of Diabetes, Obesity, Cardiovascular, Renal, Rare endocrine and metabolic diseases. With over 20 years of executive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Karin has excelled in various areas of responsibility, including project leadership, line management, strategic planning and execution as well as business development.  

Karin spent 11 years at Hoffman-La Roche in the Cardiovascular and Metabolism Discovery and early development areas, responsible for pharmacology teams as well as discovery and biomarker teams. Prior to joining Novo Nordisk, she worked four years at Johnson and Johnson, overseeing external innovation in Europe and Asia Pacific in Cardiovascular and Metabolism sectors. During this time, she led cross-functional teams in evaluating external opportunities and creating the business cases to support deal-making.
