Jerome de Barros

Jerome de Barros works for the European Commission where he currently is a Policy Officer on the Digital Health unit at DG SANTE. He is involved in the implementation of the European Health Data Space (EHDS) for aspects linked to secondary use of health data and health data quality.  

Prior to joining the European Commission, he was the Data Driven Innovation Lead for Health & Care at the University of Edinburgh working, among other projects, on the set up of the DataLoch, a data service bringing together and leveraging health and social care data for the South-East Scotland region. 

His background is on Innovation Management (Jönköping International Business School) and Health .Informatics (University College London).
