Jan Faflík

Jan Faflík is a Senior Associate at Tensor Ventures, where he leads early-stage investments across Europe in TechBio, Software Infrastructure, and other Deeptech sectors. He sits on the boards of Tensor’s two portfolio companies, QurieGen and Openvibe. With a strong foundation in bioinformatics and computational chemistry, Jan combines deep scientific literacy with a sharp investment perspective to identify and support transformative technologies with high growth potential. 

Before joining Tensor Ventures, Jan was an Investment Analyst at RSJ Investments, focusing on private and public investments in Life Sciences. He has also contributed to academic research in theoretical bioinorganic chemistry at the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry (IOCB Prague). 

Jan dropped out of his undergraduate study programme in Bioinformatics at Charles University, Prague, to pursue Venture full time.
