Hari Jayaram

Dr. Hari Jayaram currently leads the Gene and Cell Therapy Platform at Arena Bioworks, bringing over a decade of experience in leading platform teams within the genetic medicine industry. As an early scientist at Editas Medicine, he established and directed the Ribonucleoprotein engineering and computational biology teams. Subsequently, he played a pivotal role as the first employee and VP Platform at Spotlight Therapeutics, where he developed the platform for cell-targeted CRISPR RNP in vivo delivery. At Verve Therapeutics, as VP of Discovery and Gene Editing, he spearheaded enzyme discovery and on-/off-target assay development, contributing to their successful IND submission. Dr. Jayaram holds a PhD in molecular biophysics and structural biology from B.V.V. Prasad’s group at Baylor College of Medicine and completed a postdoctoral fellowship with Chris Miller at Brandeis University.
