Dr. Silvia Dutra

Silvia Dutra is a business development professional with over a decade of experience in the biotech and biopharma industry, including more than five years focused on the cell and gene therapy sector. At the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult, she leads international business development initiatives, driving strategic partnerships and collaborative grant opportunities across Europe, North America and UK supporting cell and gene therapy developers in advancing their programmes to clinic and commercialisation. In her current role, Silvia is also actively involved in the skills and training strategies to support the growth of the workforce in the UK’s ATMP sector. Prior to her current role, she held product management and business development positions at Thermo Fisher Scientific and Dyadic, where she contributed to the growth of innovative life science solutions. She brings strong expertise in innovation and a solid scientific foundation, holding a PhD in Science from the University of São Paulo and a BSc in Biology from the Catholic University of Brasília. Silvia is passionate about accelerating life-changing therapies through cross-functional collaboration.
