Egle Simelyte works at the Directorate general for Research and Innovation, in the European Commission in Brussels. She has been dealing with implementation of Health programmes in Horizon Europe, since 2024 with a focus on personalised medicine, contributing to accelerating the advancement of tailored healthcare solutions.

She holds an MD from Vilnius University and a PhD from the University of Turku in Finland.
