Dr. Christiane Hahn

Science lead for Biology at the European Space Agency | Netherlands

Christiane Hahn works as the science lead for Biology at the European Space Agency, within the directorate of human and robotic exploration programmes. She holds a PhD in Neuroscience from King’s College London, and after her post-doctoral studies in 2019, she came to ESA as a project scientist, coordinating human and biology research projects targeted to space and earth-analogous platforms. Christiane holds her current position since 2022 and is overseeing the Biology research portfolio of the directorate, and shaping aspects that are Biology-related to align with the directorate’s mission.
