Claudio Moratto is a Technical Officer and Systems Engineer in the Low Earth Orbit Payloads team within the Human Spaceflight and Robotic Exploration Directorate of the European Space Agency (ESA). His work focuses on the development of life sciences and human physiology experiments designed for operation aboard the International Space Station (ISS). He is also actively involved in preparing for the post-ISS era by developing flexible experimental platforms adaptable to future space habitats and missions.

Over the course of his career, Claudio Moratto has gained diverse experience, contributing to the development of experiments in fundamental and fluid physics, as well as to telecommunications satellite platforms, payloads, and satellite systems.

He also has extensive expertise in the areas of structural engineering and safety.
